Faces in History

This typographic portrait technique is complex and sophisticated. Each poster has its own individuality. The images of famous people that are familiar to anyone will make the eyes fastened, but when taking a closer look it becomes clear that the whole portrait is represented by the biography typed in the native language of a depicted person. The key element of the design is a portrait that is made from a text typed.

The logo be designed by Xie baohua,it took him around 4 months to hammer out.the logo be released on Aug 6,2016 in beijing and get over 200 million online reviewers which gains good social response.this logo designed for tf boys,who is a popular chinese idol group, a three young boy group named the fighting boys.the triangle shape symbolize their positive and motivate image,to keep consistent with the brand conception.

My relative, Petofi

The book is about the living descendants of the great Hungarian poet, Sandor Petofi. It documents the vast amount of research the author did, ranging from interviews, archive photographs to detailed family trees. The book is divided between two families(the poet's mother's and father's branch). These are marked in the middle of the spreads with the page numbers. Each chapter starts with a fictional writing of the poet, as if he was commenting on his descendants. To show the relationships, family trees were drawn and placed on fold-out pages.

National Essence

This series poster reflect Chinese haze pollution problem. The design show the state of Chinese national culture image under the haze. The Chinese traditional culture image, rare animal, world heritage, literary novel character are the protagonists of the poster. The essential purpose of design is calling on the Chinese government and individuals to pay more attention to environmental problems especial haze.

Cargo Club

Cargo Club is one of the most well-known night clubs in Beijing. It is practically a fusion of Chinese traditional music and pop music. After seven years in operation, Cargo Club had its grand comeback recently, and totally rebranded its identity. We pioneered a completely new brand image. As an entity, the logo looks like a five-pointed star, which is the very symbol of Beijing hard rock. From another point of view, the black/white light resonates with traditional Chinese painting, whereas the colored one indicates Western fashion.

Threaded Ed.20, New Beginnings Issue

This issue celebrates Matariki, new beginnings and acknowledges influences and learnings; past, present and future. This edition’s intention is to increase awareness of contemporary Māori Art and Design but more importantly connect communities and industries locally and globally. This issue is a collaboration and co-edition with Ngā Aho featuring 10 of New Zealand’s most contemporary Māori artists and designers; Carin Wilson, Lisa Reihana, Rangi Kipa, Jack Gray, Elisapeta Hinemoa Heta, Lonnie Hutchinson, Natalie Robertson, Janet Lilo, Jessica Sanderson and Martin Awa Clarke Langdon.
