Texts

Texts From Graphics is a book of essays written by graphic design professors of a university program in Mexico. The essays express ideas and concerns about design. Hierarchy, typographic selection and composition highlight the main messages and support a light reading. The book is printed in black and white on bond paper, sewn in sections and bound with hard covers finished with varnish, keeping production costs low while ensuring durability.

Among the topics discussed are Armenia’s cultural and architectural histories, the typology of Soviet atomograds and the phenomenon of modern ruins. This book, based on the multidisciplinary Rethinking Metsamor research project, for the first time tells the city’s story and reveals what lessons can be learned from it.
